Legendary Tennis career of Serena Williams Ends after Loss in 3rd Round

After losing in the third round of the singles competition at the US Open, Serena Williams' famous tennis career is probably ended.

After losing to Australia's Ajla Tomljanovi in the third round of the US Open at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Flushing, New York, Serena Williams' illustrious tennis career is probably over.

The 23-time grand slam singles winner irrevocably changes not only tennis but also the whole world of sports.

For the first time ever, Tomljanovi goes to the round of 16 at the US Open after winning the more than three-hour match 7-5 6-7(4) 6-1.

Williams was questioned about whether she would reconsider her "evolution away from tennis" in an on-court interview.

She said, "I don't think so, but you never know."

In a joyful, tear-filled conversation, she praised her parents and expressed her gratitude for them for starting it all.

She also attributed her success to her older sister, Venus Williams.

Without Venus, "I wouldn't be Serena," she declared. She is the only cause of Serena Williams' existence.
