Ivana Trump, the first wife of former US President Donald Trump, died on Friday as a consequence of an accident, according to the New York City Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME).

The Medical Examiner found that the woman's death was due to an accident brought on by torso injuries from forceful impacts. After making this decision, OCME will stop making comments on the probe, the company said in a statement.

Donald jr., Ivanka, and Eric's mother Ivana helped the former president construct some of his most recognisable structures, including Trump Tower. When she passed away, she was 73 years old.

The former president, his son Donald Jr., and daughter Ivanka had depositions — a legal word for in-person questioning under oath — slated to begin as early as Friday. But according to the office of New York Attorney General Letitia James, it agreed to delay them in light of Ivana's passing.

A close friend disclosed to The NY Post on Friday that Ms. Trump was in such poor physical condition two weeks ago that she couldn't even leave her residence for a trip to the Hamptons. She was supposed to attend Trump's favourite Southampton hangout 75 Main earlier this month, but couldn't because of "something with her hip," according to owner Zach Erdem.

The body of Trump, the 73-year-old ex-wife of former President Donald Trump, was discovered around 12:40 p.m. on Thursday at her Upper East Side residence in Manhattan.

Erdem claimed that when he spoke with his old friend, a well-known former model and entrepreneur from the Czech Republic who was famously married to businessman Donald Trump for 15 years, he advised her to see a doctor.
